10 Footballers you would miss at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

So, finally the FIFA World Cup has arrived and the football carnival is set to take over our lives for the next 30 days. New stars would be born. New champions would be made. But the absence of some players would surely take down a few glamour factors out of the World Cup. The FIFA World Cup does not deserve to miss these players. You are surely going to miss them. Here are 10 of them:

Gareth Bale: This Welsh player is the first player who should feature in this list. The costliest player of         this generation helped Real Madrid to its la decima feat and would have filled the star cast in the FIFA         World Cup.Unfortunately, his country Wales couldn’t qualify and sadly we have to miss him at this               World Cup.

Radamel Falcao: After making a glorious journey with Athletico Madrid two seasons ago, this Columbian would be missed greatly by his country as well as his fans around the world. Though injury marred most of his season with Monaco, he would have surely made a huge difference to his country. Sadly, injury has jeopardized his World Cup journey.

Franck Ribery: One of the two world-class footballers who would be missed badly by France is Ribery. His on-field presence at Bayern Munich was one of the key reasons for the treble-winning feat achieved in the 2012/13 season. He is sadly ruled out due to a back injury.

Samir Nasri: Well, he is surely going to be missed by his French teammates. The reason for neglecting Nasri hasn’t been confirmed yet but it is quite clearly due to his off-field behavior and his bad relation with manager Didier Deschamps. Quite sad that a player of his class has to be missed due to non-footballing reasons.

Marco Reus: The curse of the final warm-up game against Armenia proved to be too costly for this youngster. His is one of the most talented attacking mid-fielders amongst the current crop of youngsters. Would have been a vital player for the Germans, an ankle injury came between him and his debut World Cup journey.

Robert Lewandowski: One of the main reasons behind the success of Borussia Dortmund is this attacking player. Quite sadly, Poland couldn’t qualify for Brazil and fans like me, has to be content about hoping his country qualifies for the World Cup at least next time.

Petr Cech: I am not a Chelsea fan but being a football fan is enough to love his goal-keeping heroics at club level with the blues. He may have had a dip in form at a certain time last year but there is no denying as to why he is referred to as a Goalie-God by Chelsea fans. Seemingly, Czech Republic didn’t qualify for the World Cup and left his fans being agonized.

Kaka: His time at Real Madrid was probably the only saddening part of his illustrious career. A Ballon D’Or winner and one of the most celebrated footballer, he could have been given a chance of playing in probably, his last World Cup. He slightly regained his old form with AC Milan last season and could have been a pivotal figure in the Brazilian mid-field.

Mario Gomez: Though Gomez wasn’t fully fit, the manager could have gambled a bit with this forward given Germany would go to Brazil with only one mainstream striker in Miraslov Klose. Well, to be honest his time at Fiorentina was marred with injuries and even though he wasn’t able to play to his full potential last season, he would have provided the magic in the German colours.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: This list wouldn’t have been complete without this talismanic footballer. Probably the most charismatic footballer along with Cristiano Ronaldo, his country Sweden lost out in the play-offs against Ronaldo’s Portugal. He himself exclaimed that a World Cup without Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not worth watching. I would surely miss his football, along with his off-field controversial comments. Phew!
