I don't know who Sachin Tendulkar is and I am not a Terrorist!

What happens when somebody publicly states about not knowing who Sachin Tendulkar is? An entire nation of the master’s devotional fans goes on a raging mission on the internet and
launches various unauthentic campaigns against that somebody for not knowing who the Great Sachin Tendulkar is, perhaps the greatest cricketer alongside Sir Don Bradman and Sir Gary Sobers. Unluckily that somebody turned out to be the very much talented, over-beautiful and sexy Maria Sharapova, one of the 3 women tennis players, alongside Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams, for whom my heart stops pumping blood, when I see them play. For your information, Russia is not a cricketing nation and so Sharapova naturally wouldn’t know about Tendulkar. Mind you, she is a talented tennis player, who is one of the best in her business. She is not a sports historian, who takes note about every other sportsperson.

My point of view is that most of the Indian people are over-reacting to this public statement by the sizzling Maria Sharapova, one of the most beautiful women I have ever witnessed. The point is that only a few countries feature in the cricketing scenario. Also, cricket, which is played only by handful countries, cannot be termed as a global sport, unlike football or tennis. And thus, Russians aren’t even familiar with the cricketing world, let alone a single player. So, Sharapova not knowing about Tendulkar is not a big deal. I bet most of these over-reactive angry Indian people, who have launched anti-Sharapova slogans and online campaigns against her, don’t even know players from their own country as well. And I am not speaking about cricket, my dear. How many of you even know the name of the goal-keeper of the Indian football team, let alone name the whole playing-eleven? (thinking of Google, huh?) How many of you know about P.V Sindhu? It is highly likely that most of the Indian people don’t know about the 3 Indian athletes at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, who initially participated under the Olympic flag, as the Indian Olympic Association was banned by the IOC! Do you even know their names? Oh wait! They aren’t cricketers. So, forget it. A country which ignores every other sport other than cricket doesn’t deserve to throw tantrums on a world-famous sportsperson, given that most of the Indians don’t recognize their fellow Indian sportspersons from other sports, as well.  What Sharapova said might hurt an Indian but we mustn’t get over-reactive to this issue. As I already said, many countries don’t even know that a sport like cricket even exist and so not knowing about the greatest cricketer is not a big issue. Come on, my fellow Indians! Grow up. It is not necessary for a sportsperson to know other sportspersons from other sports. Barrack Obama, once said that the productivity in the USA went down when Tendulkar batted, but let me get you straight with this. The productivity of the whole world decreases every night, due to Sharapova, even when she is not even playing! No prizes for guessing why!

  1. Sharapova lied & that is why people of India..several youths of the country have launched an online attack on her..I saw a picture of Sharapova & The Master playing Tennis at a court together in 2006 or 07..she knows who Sachin is but because of her over egoist nature she refused to comment on him..beauty often creates this problem..
With me I guess millions would agree that Roger Federer is the greatest of all time in the game of tennis..but Roger speaks really high of Sachin & appreciates him & has even met him a couple of times..though Switzerland is not a country where Cricket is played..so Sharapova u suck for whoever u are.!
