An Open Letter To Mr. Kejriwal

Some two years ago, there was huge uproar over the national capital of our country.
A few common men decided to form a political party to uproot all the evil-doings and corruption that was creeping up the political system in the National Capital and bring about a whole new era of changes. In the process, the people of Delhi elected them and gave them the power to govern Delhi. A few months later, citing some irrelevant reasons and allegations, the party decided to step down from power and resign from its position. People came up with various opinions. A few stood by them, while others loathed them. I even wrote a review about those 49 days  of the AAP government. On a fairly lenient basis, I had a faint belief that some kind of revolution was still there to be blown upon and change the face of Indian politics, which was long tarnished by a pre-historic party, who proudly calls themselves the Congress. How I yearn I could reverse time!

Fast forward two years and some bleak months since then. I wish I could still believe in the kind of upheaval that I believed back then. But Mr. Aam Aadmi, you have shown enough evidences in these past couple of years about the stupidity you and your council of rebellious ministers possess within yourselves. There are a great number of people in this world whose words and actions have totally no resemblance at all. Sadly, you and our band of intellectuals are typically a select few of them. People seemed to have been fairly convinced about the quality of work you had promised during your maddening political rallies, which you seem to have purely discarded based on anything you find these days. Remember the days, when you promised not to use any type of VIP cars as the CM of Delhi? Remember when you used to roam about innocently, like a new born baby, in that blue Wagon-R car of yours, before you resigned during that first term? Remember when you used to cough your way out staging ‘dharnas’ after ‘dharnas’? All those have slid away past the history books! Corruption charges, criminal accusations, domestic violence charges and various other cases against your party members seem to have engulfed all the good commitments that you had promised to the citizens of our National Capital. Sadly, now you resemble that irritating kid from our school days, whom we all used to nickname as ‘Complaint Box’!

And a couple of days back, when the epidemic of the mosquito-borne diseases were out in the news today, it wasn’t surprising to hear you yelling and grumbling about the failures of the PM, the LG of Delhi and the entire Central Government in controlling the epidemic. The constant blame-games about the Central Government of India having drained away all the powers from you and your council of ministers has become your bedtime hobby. Your party's new motto should read: 'Hum AAPke hai kaun?' If you really do not have any powers within you to take any decision, why don’t you resign from that position, which is obviously useless taking into consideration your accusations? Why are you holding on to that position and drawing away huge amount of salaries, in turn wasting loads of money which could have been otherwise, spent in numerous charitable ways. Moaning and fretting against Mr. Modi can be done without you being the CM of Delhi. And because you are in no position to take a single decision regarding governance, as has been clearly stated by you, you are the biggest liability in our country at the moment. So rather than finding faults in the Central Government, it would be highly advisable of you to pack your bags and leave the seat of the CM of Delhi. We have had witnessed enough of lunacy from you and would be relieved to wave you a farewell. And yes, take away that broom and ‘topi’ of yours too!

A good-bye would be most welcome!
