An Ode for a Nightingale

Imagine a delicate and subtle tone of serene quality sweeping through the mind with a peaceful feel. Now, visualize the way with which that feeling can bring about whole duffels of positivity within your soul. Sounds like some unimaginable sequences shown in some whimsical movies. No wait! Quite unknowingly, this was precisely what I felt while listening to a particular song.

Yes, a song sung by one of my good friends. It is a cover of the song Black Velvet by Alannah Myles. The cover, serenaded by her marvelous voice, brings about happiness within you. Smile will continue to rock your face spontaneously throughout the entire track. Foot tapping will be involuntary. And once you close your eyes, that song will continue to hum itself throughout your ears till eternity. You realize that yes, she has done it! And with composed proficiency. Music has a unique ability to unite people and this particular piece lives up to every such fact that finds its place in the books. If you are an ardent music listener, you got to have noticed that the voices of a few artists are quite distinctive from others. A few have a rock solid deep tone while others have the ability to touch the highest of notes. And arguably possessing a versatile voice, my friend executed this song with an enchanted demeanor, which has always been her unique intonation. Few have the honor to live the extolled dream one sets sight onto. And with this cover, it is just the beginning of an amazing journey which would go well beyond her chimera. People of the West have Adele, Sia, Celine Dion, Gloria Gaynor amongst others. In my region, now, I can proudly exclaim that we have Miss Ipsita Bharali amidst us.

With the launch of this splendid masterpiece, it is just the beginning of a long odyssey which is filled with more such greatness. I do hope that there are more such alluring verses from her in the coming days and beyond. We all wish, we get to hear such dazzling tracks and get mesmerized altogether.
