A Dawn of New Era: An Open Letter to Mr. Narendra Modi
Ten years of having a silent
leader. Ten years of stupidity. Ten years of corruption. Ten years of endless
ailments. Ten years of price rise. Ten years of heinous crimes which included
countless murders and rapes. Ten years of numerous problems for the common man.
And after ten years of being led by a weak government, the people of India have
finally elected a new government. A government upon which all the Indians have
high expectations. A government which won by clearly a huge margin, and which
showed that Indians are being aware about the wrongdoings happening in the
country. A government led by none other
than you, Mr. Narendra Modi.
But before I get carried and
swayed away by extreme emotions, I have some words for you. The people of India
have shown extreme faith in you, your principles and ideologies. The youth of
the country, including me has always been showering support upon you. The youth
of the country got so much carried away by the prospect of elections 2014, that
now the date 16th of May has replaced the much emphasized 14th
February as the coolest date in modern day history. “Abki baar Modi Sarkaar”
has become the trendiest phrase amongst us. The internet has transformed you
into a real life super-hero. You have become the most searched person in Google.
In one sentence, we the Indian people got the much-required super-leader in
you, to guide us through a new era of development, with all the corruption and
crimes kicked away from the country.
Even though I am just a common
youth amongst the crores of youth of this country, it is my utmost duty to
remind you that India needs a complete modification in its system, the system
that has been prevailing over the last decade. The amount of degradedness the
country has undergone is immense. Poor have become poorer. Bad has become
worse. Corruption has reached a new level. And illegal immigrants have
outnumbered local countrymen. And yet people exist, who hate you, who would
rather die than let a non-Congress party win and form the Government. Show them
why you deserved to win. Show them you would
respect every citizen irrespective of caste, creed or religion. And as our
country is a secular country, I believe you would respect every religion and treat
people of every religion and community equally as well. The youth has always
expressed concerns over employment. So, I believe you have some plans up your
sleeve to save the youth off this problem too. Also, you would eradicate
problems of illegal immigrants, price rise and electricity, and improve the
lives of beggars by offering them work. The elections showed the amount of
faith and trust we have in you. Even the extreme heat and humidity didn’t stop
us from turning in huge numbers to cast our vote on the election days. Now,
it’s your turn to show us why you deserve to form the government. On why you are
the rightful leader India deserves. On why you would be having the privilege of
being the only non-Congress party in over 65 years of Indian democracy to form
the Government without any coalition formation. On why this election results
showcased the win of good over bad. And till I get over the excitement and
happiness of this election results, I wish you a very good luck on your duties.
Jai Hind.
I congratulate Mr. Narendra Modi for being elected as our prime minister and I wish for a better India with you leading it. I hope you take this country ahead, which is far lagging behind due to numerous causes, so that other countries make an example of us for decades and you make a place in the pages of The History.. Jai Hind..!!
