The Fantasy Fable
“Good Night!”
That was the final message that night. And every time that
part of the conversation arrives, he goes into a mild emotional mood. It was
too deep to understand for him. He would obviously have a sparkling impression
of her whenever he goes into a profound dream about her. Her exquisite beauty along with that mystifying smile, was capable of bringing back essence on a lifeless
planet. Such was her charming personality. Love was too tiny an infatuation he
could have offered to her. She was undoubtedly one of his finest friends. And
this friendship sprouted and developed in real quick time. He evidently possessed
a profound tenderness for her. And after all this time, he was actually eager to share his
innate thoughts about her to somebody at least, but not her.
“Why don’t you speak to her about this?” asked Ravish.
“It sounds easy but it isn’t!” he replied.
“Man, people complicate love so much that I have finally
begun to hate this feeling!” Ravish exclaimed.
“If I put it in the correct way, for me, it’s more than that!” he
replied.
For him definitely, this was a life changer. He had never
felt about anything like he was doing right now. People would often describe
him as a shy boy, and true to that adjective, he had always failed to express his
mind in the true sense.
“Maybe, people misunderstand my intentions but I am not
somebody who cares about those opinions!” he lamented, looking at Ravish.
Aarav came running down.
“So, what’s the matter, lover boy?”
“As usual, he won’t express his zeal for her” replied Ravish.
“One day, when you would be on your death bed, living out
your old days, only then you would realize what you should have done about
this. And that would be too late for even God to change anything!” laughed off
Aarav.
“Dude, she has a special someone and they both respectfully
love each other” he replied.
"Dude, she also drinks and stuff like those but you don't! And still, you care so much about her?" Aarav shouted.
"I have high reverence for her." he replied.

"I have high reverence for her." he replied.
“God save our friend!” laughed both Ravish and Aarav.
“God bless them both!” he sighed off silently.
The image of her and her lover in his mind obviously brings
about a glimpse of sorrow within him, but he had a huge amount of honor for
her. Her thought brought about a world of joy within him. That bliss was enough to keep his heart pumping for years to come. He was never loved about by any girl to the purview that he can confront himself to be her special man. But he didn't need to be tendered by her to make him ecstatic. Her mere presence on this planet was enough for his jubilant mind!
The day arrived. She was to start a new journey with a musical internship
in the USA. God, she possessed an enchanted tone. And yes, hers was the finest and the most peaceful voice he had ever heard. She was destined to go places with that voice and this opportunity definitely
was the start of something big. She might never return back from the States.
And putting up a brave face, he had come to the airport to see her off. This
might be the last goodbye. The amount of sadness inside him got gleefully saturated
with those of the happiness he wished for her in this long expedition of musical
career she was to pursue.
“So, that’s it, then. We will definitely meet some day in the
future. And yeah, don’t change yourself. Keep up the shyness!” she joyously
exclaimed.
“And you will be a famous singer, which is a guarantee. And
yeah, don’t forget to sign your name for your greatest fan, which is me
obviously!” he grinned.
“Definitely, why on earth would I not do that! I love to send you my songs and this, I will
surely maintain, don’t worry!” she replied. Her lovely voice was too pleasing
for him to go into a dream for a split second.
Their eyes met. He turned away. He didn't want her to know, ever. He never wanted to see agony in her face. It was meant to be!

“Now, if we continue our conversation, you are bound to miss
your flight!” he remarked.
“Oh yeah! Thank you for reminding me, Mr.!” she grinned.
“Goodbye, madam!” he said, controlling his emotions, for one
final time.
“As you command!” came her terminal reply.
They didn’t hug like usual friends. He was unquestionably the
most introvert human being. As she went inside the airport, he looked at her. She was so disparate than him. It was this distinctive nature of hers that kept him attracted to her. As they say, opposites attract! Such was his diverse fondness for her. All he wanted was to rush
towards her one final time and let go off all the delicate feelings, for he had
been treasuring it all this time. But his intuition never allowed him to showcase
those excess emotions any day. He couldn't!
“Wish I am reborn as a much evolved person, having the
ability to exhibit my inner mind!” he lamented and gazed at her subtle,
ethereal and appealing face for one final concluding time.

“What happened next, dadu?” asked the few little kids
curiously, surrounding their elderly grandad.
“That would be for tonight. It’s time for bed everyone.” replied
the elderly gentleman.
“We will only sleep once you finish the part of the story.
What happened next, dadu?” asked the eldest of the children.
“Did he meet her after that? Did she come back ever?” another
young kid asked, her eyes sparkling with the suspense their grandfather presented
before them.
“Were you always this cautious while presenting your stories,
dadu?” asked another one.
“Please, did he meet her and did they live happily ever
after? Please, dadu, please! We wouldn’t be able to sleep, please!” everyone exclaimed.
As the demands became eerier, a harmonious and smooth voice emerged from the adjacent room.
As always has been, that voice has been the most cordial, refreshing and
satisfying voice for dear old grandfather for decades. Time might stop some day
but grandfather’s beam of joy on hearing that pleasurable voice will be
eternal.
“Grand mom’s time for practicing her musical notes has
arrived. So, dadu, would you just say it, did they meet after that? And did
they live happily ever after?”
“Yes” replied the grandfather in a low tone, giving away the merriest
smile, his grandchildren has ever seen of him.
